About Student Success Today
Student Success Today was created to help children and families navigate learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges with clarity, compassion, and practical guidance. Services are grounded in a school-psychology framework and designed to identify each student’s strengths and areas of need to support meaningful progress in educational settings.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, services are collaborative and individualized—focused on understanding how a child learns, functions, and experiences school so recommendations are realistic, supportive, and aligned with educational expectations.
Meet Diana Gonzales
Mrs. Gonzales is a licensed school psychologist with over a decade of experience working with children, families, and educators across diverse school communities. Her work focuses on helping students succeed academically and emotionally by carefully evaluating learning profiles, behavioral patterns, and social-emotional needs. Diana provides psychoeducational evaluations, short-term, school-focused counseling, and consultation to support students ages 6–21 (K–12). Her approach emphasizes collaboration with families and schools, ensuring that recommendations are not only evidence-based but also practical and actionable.
Meet Wally
Wally is the friendly, four-legged member of Student Success Today and a therapy dog in training. His presence helps create a warm and welcoming environment, particularly for children who may feel anxious or unsure during counseling or evaluation visits.
Wally may be present during mobile counseling sessions when appropriate and welcomed by the child. His role is simply to provide calm companionship—never to interfere with services or assessments.
Wally’s presence is always optional
Families are informed in advance if Wally may be present
Accommodations are made for allergies, fears, or preferences
Wally is not present during standardized testing when it could impact results
Your child’s comfort, safety, and needs always come first.
Philosophy & Approach
Mrs. Gonzales believes that meaningful support begins with understanding the whole child. By identifying a student’s unique strengths and areas of need, she helps families and schools make informed decisions that promote growth, confidence, and long-term success.
Services are:
Collaborative and family-centered
School-aligned and educationally relevant
Practical, compassionate, and goal-oriented
When needs extend beyond the scope of school-based services, appropriate referrals are provided to ensure continuity of care.
Mobile & Accessible Services
Student Success Today operates without a traditional brick-and-mortar office. Services are offered through mobile, in-person visits and secure telehealth, reducing barriers such as travel, missed school time, and limited access to care.
Mobile services are delivered from a thoughtfully designed, private counseling and assessment space that supports focused work in a calm, welcoming environment.
